Looking for things to do in Atlanta, Georgia for New Year’s Eve….You’ve come to the right place.



The Peach Drop in Atlanta, is considered to be the largest New Year’s Eve Celebration in the Southeast.  Visit Underground Atlanta and see the 800 pound peach drop as you ring in the New Year.  Underground Atlanta has something free to see for the whole family.  Entertainment for this free event includes a surprise emcee and headliner to be announced later this month.  There will also be carnival rides, face painting and street performers.  The 16 hour event begins at 11:00 am with fireworks and of course, the Peach Drop at Midnight.  Visit Peachdrop.com for more information.

Kenny’s Alley in downtown Atlanta hosts a variety of live music all day and night on New Year’s Eve.  The music starts at 11:00 am on New Year’s Eve and lasts until 3:00am New Years morning.  There will be a total of 13 different groups plus entertainment on the big screen, including the Chick-fil-a Bowl and the Peach Drop.  For more information check out Kenny's Alley's Calendar of Events.

For those over the age of 21, typically every year The Highlander has a free rock-n-roll show for New Year's Eve.  Last year the show featured MuckRaker, Red Rocket Deluxe and BLASTED!  Also, enjoy a free champagne toast at midnight!  Visit The Highlander's web site for more information.

Children’s Museum Atlanta is having a Noon Year’s Eve Ball.  This one is for the kids, 8 years old and under.  It is free, with admission to the museum.  There will be cotillion dancing and a grand ballroom procession as they countdown the ‘Noon Year’.  Reservations are recommended.  Visit their web site for more information.

The Opera Nightclub of Atlanta hosts one of the largest New Year’s Eve parties in Atlanta.  This year the exclusive superclub will have 3 different DJs:  DJ EU, DJ KO, and DJ Mami Chula.  Also featuring:  5 different atmospheres, Open Bar Selections, 12 bars with 30 bartenders, Gourmet Buffet, and more!  Admission prices start at $25.  Visit Opera Nightclub for additional details.

Enjoy the holiday at the Fox Theatre, and as stated on their web site "Walk like an Egyptian and Celebrate New Year's Eve in style at the Fabulous Fox Theatre's World Famous Egyptian Ballroom".  Entertainment includes two DJ's, a light show and more.  Prices start at $100 per person, and include an open bar.  See the Fox Theatre web site for more details.
